National Glaucoma Awareness Week highlights the condition of glaucoma and encourages people to go for regular eye tests.
Why? Because if spotted early glaucoma can be avoided. People can lose vision and end up blind very quickly without really any warning.
This happens when your eye's optic nerve is damaged. The nerve sends signals from your retina to your brain, so you can only begin to imagine how important it is for our sight!
Would you like to help with fundraising in June? Well, you could 'Recycle4Charity'. Do you have old mobile phones or ink cartridges?
If so, you should hold a collection and get your community involved too! Each mobile phone will get make up about £5 which then goes to helping the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) and their sufferers.
You could also do all your fundraising from your home! You can shop with ebay, John Lewis and other stores while helping the organisation!
For more information go to the National Glaucoma Awareness Week website.
So why not take som time to help raise funds for people with glaucoma! You'll not only help others feel better, but feel better in yourself for helping them!
