National American Sweet Bakery Week, now in its 3rd year, aims to bring a scrumptious slice of the USA to the UK.
Dawn Foods knows that UK folk love American sweet treats just as much as our friends across the Atlantic.
So, as part of its Authentic American Bakery Campaign, Dawn is encouraging bakers to once again get involved with National American Sweet Bakery Week by baking American-style goodies inspired by recipes from the other side of the pond throughout 1–7 July 2016. As well as sharing them with customers don’t forget to share them with us on social media too @dawnsfoodsuk!
Graham Ryder, owner of Peter’s Bakery in Manchester, who has taken part in the awareness week for the last two years, said:
“We’ve worked with Dawn for several years and we recognised, through our participation in the initiative last year, that National American Sweet Bakery Week offered us a different and exciting way to attract customers. This year, we wanted to do even more to celebrate the event! We styled the bakery with red white and blue decorations and opted for a Vegas theme, producing cupcakes topped with chocolate dice, playing cards and even roulette chips – they were a big hit with our customers!”
Born in the USA almost 100 years ago in Jackson, Michigan, today Dawn Foods is one of the biggest suppliers of American sweet bakery products in Europe.
American products are a big deal in the UK sweet bakery market so Dawn is encouraging bakers to make the most of this continually growing trend by whipping up their most tempting and tasty all-American baked goods. You can bet your bottom dollar they’ll sell like hot cakes! So, what does this mean for consumers? Well, lots of delicious American sweet treats will be available in bakeries up and down the country during this national week of celebration!
Dawn Foods has created a range of awesome American recipes that bakeries can follow, using its quality ingredients, to bake up a brilliant batch in the bakery! You’ll find everything from Rocky Road Brownie Extreme and Very Berry Waffles to Maple & Bacon Donuts and Pretzel Cheesecake – and lots of sweet bakery recipes in between.
