It's time to get your jeans on for Jeans For Genes Day!
Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising event that was started in the early 1990's by two brothers in Dorset to raise money for genetic disorders in the UK.
So ... why don't you get your work or school involved, wear your jeans for the day and make a donation?
Individually, genetic disorders are rare but together they affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK - that's more than 30,000 babies each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest killer of children aged 14 years and under. For many of us it's difficult to imagine what living with a genetic disorder would be like.
How does your money help? The money raised helps to fund the care and support children need now. Each year funding is offered to a range of charities.
For further information about where the money is going this year take a look at the Jeans for Genes website. The charity needs us to help them raise much needed funds - so why not organise a Jeans for Genes Day at your work or school and have fun raising money for a great cause!Home › September › Jeans for Genes Day
