Foster Care Fortnight
13-26 May 2013

Foster Care Fortnight

Foster Care Fortnight takes place between 13-26 May 2013.   The annual awareness-raising campaign aims to encourage a diverse range of people with the right skills and qualities to foster to come forward to meet the needs of children in care.

With a shortage of 10,000 foster carers across the UK, more foster carers are needed to provide children with safe and caring homes while they are unable to live with their own families.

Following the success of the 2011 campaign, the theme 'time to care' was re-instated for Foster Care Fortnight 2012.  The focus was on the need for more foster carers.  The theme for 2013 hasn't been announced yet - so, keep checking back on the official website!
