Adult Learners Week is all about showing people that it's never too late to try something new! And we can all keep learning.
Whether you feel stuck in a rut or want to change your lifestyle and change things completely then YOU can. Age, career or any other factor doesn't matter!
Learning can transform the lives of people for the better. So, there will also be awards to celebrate these achievements and to recognise the learning achievements of adults - for example the Outstanding Learner of the Year.
It can be something as small as learning a new sport to getting a PhD. That's the great thing about it, the options are endless and open to you. They don't call it an Open University for nothing!
As well as the awards, events will take place in libraries, museums, workplaces and other locations. In 2013 over 100,000 people took part in an amazing 3,000+ events in England! Not surprisingly these events inspired adults across the country to learn - and that's what it's all about!
If you're interested in being an adult learner or just want to find out more, go to the Adult Learners Week website and find out what opportunities are open to you!
