Hi, and welcome to our National Awareness Days website. Here you will find out about what national awareness days, weeks and months there are, when they are, and details about their sponsors. There's also interesting stuff like the history, information and ideas for your own events.

National days are both serious and great fun. They are usually about supporting a charity and cover diverse subjects like National aids awareness day, the fun side is, for example, a sponsored walk with your friends to raise money for your chosen charity. This site will let you know when and how to take part in these types of activities.

There is a distinction to be made between national days and awareness days. Usually awareness days are health related, and raise awareness of cancers and illnesses, and also around these days charities collect money.

National days are usually staged by commercial organisations to promote their products and services, for example, National Cleavage Day is sponsored by bra manufacturers at the same time as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and donations are often given to associated charities by these companies.

There are however many national days which are just for fun, for example, International Talk Like A Pirate Day is a growing fun day celebrated by many students across the western world. Participants dress up as pirates and attempt to talk to each other in pirate speak while swilling flagons of ale.

Whatever you are looking for this site aims to list it and help you find it, I hope you enjoy checking all the National Awareness Days out.
